Research Associate (Hydrogeology Numerical Modelling)
Research Associate position at the Chair of Hydrogeology, Technical University of Munich (TUM), focused on hydrogeology and biogeochemistry with a strong emphasis on numerical groundwater modelling (FEFLOW). The role is embedded in an internationally recognized research environment with national and international collaborations.
The successful candidate will contribute to a large groundwater modelling project, support teaching (up to 5 hours/week), and participate in field work. Applicants should have strong expertise in groundwater numerical modelling and hold an MSc plus an excellent PhD in hydro(geo)logy, earth/environmental sciences, physics, applied mathematics, or related fields.
This is a full-time (100%) academic staff appointment for 2 years, with possible extension based on evaluation. Compensation follows the German public service collective agreement (TV-L). Start date is negotiable, not before 1 October 2025.
