Privacy Policy
Effective Date: March 20, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how GeologyJobs ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information when you use our website and services as an employer or when you browse job listings as a visitor.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
We collect the following information that you actively provide to us:
- Account details: Email address and authentication data used to create and access your employer account.
- Employer profile information: Employer or organization name, logo, description, employer type, website URL, social media links, headquarters location, and other profile fields you choose to provide.
- Job posting information: Job titles, descriptions, locations, salary ranges, tags, benefits, and application details (including apply email addresses or application URLs).
- Payment-related information: When you purchase a job listing, we store non‑card payment data such as price, duration, currency, payment status, associated job and employer, and references to Stripe payment identifiers. Card details are handled directly by Stripe and are never stored on our servers.
- Communications: Any information you provide when you contact us or respond to transactional emails.
Most employer profile and job posting information is intended to be public and displayed on the site. Account‑level data such as your login email and internal payment records are not made public.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use GeologyJobs, we may automatically collect limited technical information necessary to operate and secure the service, such as:
- Basic HTTP request data (e.g., date and time of access, URL requested, user‑agent)
- Session identifiers required to keep you logged in as an employer
- Aggregated metrics such as job view counts (for example, how often a listing is loaded)
We do not use advertising trackers or third‑party analytics cookies.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Account management: To create and maintain your employer account, authenticate you, and provide access to the dashboard.
- Operating the job board: To create, display, and manage employer profiles and job postings, and to show job seekers relevant information.
- Payments and billing: To process payments for job listings, record payment status, and manage job activation and expiry.
- Service communications: To send you transactional messages related to your account, payments, and job postings (for example, login emails, payment confirmations, and job status notifications).
- Security and abuse prevention: To protect the platform, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our terms.
- Service improvement: To understand how the platform is used in aggregate and to improve features and reliability.
Important: Most employer profile fields and job posting details are public by design. Do not include information in these fields that you do not wish to make public.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.
We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

- Legal compliance and protection: We may disclose information when required by law, legal process, or if we believe it is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of GeologyJobs, our users, or the public.
- Public content: Employer profiles and job postings are intentionally public and may be indexed by search engines or accessed by any visitor.
