Geologist / Geological Laboratory Technician
Responsibilities:
- On-site geological and technical support for deep drilling: sampling, handling, and preliminary lithological and stratigraphic description of drill material.
- Operate and evaluate monitoring equipment for geological/technical drilling monitoring, high-pressure zone early detection, drilling optimization and safety; PC operation and remote data transmission.
- Produce results via PC as logs and geological/technical reports.
Requirements:
- Qualification such as Dipl.-Geologist, B.Sc./M.Sc. geosciences, geology technician training, or equivalent.
- Driving licence class B and own car.
- Willingness to work shifts at changing locations in Northern and Southern Germany and abroad; no relocation required.
- German native speaker or C1 level.
- Reachable by phone.
Work pattern:
- Central office (Garbsen): Mon–Fri 8:00–16:00 during onboarding/training.
- Field (Germany): ~10–14 days on site, 12 h shifts, then ~10–14 days off.
- Field (abroad): ~4 weeks on, ~4 weeks off.
Employment under the collective agreement (Manteltarif) for the oil/gas drilling/service sector; member of BVEG.
