Engineering Geologist / Geotechnics & Tunneling

Dr. Spang Ingenieurgesellschaft is hiring an Engineering Geologist / Geotechnics specialist for tunnel and underground infrastructure projects in Witten, Germany. The role combines geotechnical and engineering geology consulting with hydrogeological input and construction-phase support.

Key responsibilities:

• Plan, tender, and supervise ground investigation programs.

• Prepare geotechnical, hydrogeological, and tunnel engineering reports.

• Assess existing structures and provide expert geotechnical opinions.

• Advise project owners and contractors during planning and execution.

• Support construction works in tunneling and civil underground projects.

Profile:

• Degree in Geology or Civil Engineering (focus on geotechnics, tunneling, engineering geology, or hydrogeology).

• Around 2 years of experience is preferred but not required.

• German language proficiency at C1 level required.

• Software like GGU or Surfer is advantageous.

• Experience in ground investigation, rock/soil mechanics, and tunnel projects is beneficial.
